Taken on my old Samsung whilst on a boat trip around the coast of the Algarve . Gear is great, good gear is better. Sometimes it’s just the time, place and whatever you have on you.

This was a lesson I learned the slow way, being a bit of a nerd who builds his own computers, a large appeal to photography for me started in the technology and the gear. Sometimes photographers hold themselves back when they feel they need better kit. When I look back to this photo and others like it it reminds me that there is so much more to the art than lenses, sensors and specs.
